Our mission is to provide quality, compassionate and gentle care for all foot and ankle pathology. We strive to provide this level of care in a comfortable, caring environment where a friendly and knowledgeable staff serves as a vital part of the care delivery team. Our physicians are committed to a level of continued medical education that allows patients to receive the most current advances in the treatment of all conditions of the foot and ankle through both surgical and non-surgical remedies as appropriate to each patient as an individual.

Dr. Nielsen is board certified in foot surgery, rearfoot and reconstructive surgery. He has authored numerous posters and papers in the field of podiatric medicine and surgery and he has spoken at numerous conferences on a variety of Podiatric subjects both locally and throughout the country. Dr. Nielsen grew up in the Kansas City area and is a graduate of Liberty High School. After attending Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah he went on to obtain his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree at Des Moines University, College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery in Des Moines, Iowa. Dr. Nielsen completed his 3-year surgical residency at The Western Pennsylvania Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After his residency, Dr. Nielsen and his wife, Amber, moved back to the Liberty area with their three children, Carter, Hayden, and Abigail. When Dr. Nielsen isn’t practicing medicine he keeps busy with his family enjoying waterskiing, wakeboarding, downhill skiing, running, cycling, or training for triathlons. He also is a big fan of college basketball and football. Go BYU!
